!@M3 Sk8 CoMP’ 2010 – in its 3rd year – still getting sicker by the gig! !@M3 crew are planning MORE – quality AND quantity!!! There will be a DECEMBER for the annual XMaS BBQ @ THa’ Sk8 PaRK / JANUARY !@M3 Sk8 CoMP’ 2011/ The NUI Afterball kicks in June & the leavers in November//
ALL SKATE! PURE SKATE! (no bmx in 2010) BBQ for competitors & spot prizes all day… sponsored by Pointons Ski Shop with Electric Eyewear, ALC, IRROM & Element on board. Red Bull gives us wings!

!@M3 Sk8 CoMP’ 2009
The !@M3 Sk8 Comp has previously shared a weekend with the Invitatational J@M… !@M3 Sk8 funded & managed all aspects of the events.
The weekend started with the !@M3 Sk8 CoMP’ on the Taupo Skate Park while the BMX guys warm up on the dirt… the skaters pulled a massive crowd & did not fail to please – !@M3 Sk8r Cole Holyoake took out the U16 grade with a MASSIVE christ air backflip out of the 5′! !@M3 Sk8rZ took out the top in the U10 Groms with Bram Holyoake stamping ownership of the park; Cole H, Poona & Hemi cleaning up in the U16 & BoWMaN owning it all in the Open grade against guys well senior in age…
The weekend continued with the New Zealand Dirt Nationals – Mildon winner with Paul Langlands & Billy in 2nd & 3rd!!!
The whole weekend involved 30 tonnes of dirt in 15 trucks; a 5m scaffold roll in; the Red Bull Hummer; St Johns; posters & promo all over the place; crowd control & traffic plans; portaloo toilets & rubbish control; prizes & sponsors to keep happy; registrations; a couple of bands for the 2 competitors parties (Rhombus & a cool punk band played!) & all the rest that goes with the whole weekend!
RoCK YeR clASS OFf 09 YOUTHREPUBLIC
The Taupo District Council asked !@M3 designer Cole Holyoake to design some publicity material for Youth Week 2009… Cole with ARTIVIST : creative JoFF Rae designed a logo for T shirts, programmes & print material… !@M3 designed & arranged all the printing for the TDC & included 4000 programmes & 6000 stickers! The feature was 200 T shirts that were given away with the !@M3 logo on them!
Then Cole had some ideas on contributions directly to the festival… a best trick & a concert!
!@M3 decided to have a small gathering down at the park – a simple BBQ for the crew even if the weather was crap! It ended up 50 local skaters & bikers chowing on sausages & bread with JeD on the grill! Very cool stuff – & the tunes were good too!
The concert was a different story… Cole teamed up with ARTIVIST : creative & they talked their mate MC Mana into jumping on board!
MC Mana is a sick ex sponsored skater still pulling sponsorship for his wild antics & rhymes – rapping with the likes of Salmonella Dub, Shapeshifter & Rhombus. Thanks to the hype of MC Mana & skills of ARTIVIST it ended up a full concert system with 20K hung in the Taupo Event Center & some massive visuals hitting the room from behind the bands! The bands: a solo artist Jayme Fitzgerald to start, a Tauranga band called ‘A Kiss Goodbye’ & a local band ‘SEIZEFIRE’… & the feature act…
MIDNIGHT YOUTH
Midnight Youth had just released their first album after returning from the USA & were about to embark on their NZ & AU Tour – they had just gone to #2 on the charts & were the highest played band on radio… the gig was sick & we had !@M3 on EVERYTHING!!!
!@M3 have sponsored loads of youth events including Taupo Guitar Hero Three Champs (won by !@M3 CReW Oscar Holyoake!), Rhombus at the Taupo Skate Park on a Sunday afternoon, a film & video workshop & other stuff… keep an eye out for more events!!!

!@M3 Sk8 & Rhombus = PRIZE FIGHTER
!@M3 Sk8 organised a video shoot with Rhombus at our park… featuring some of the !@M3 crew carving up the place to some sick tunes… we had noise complaints at 3pm on a Sunday afternoon from 12km away as we pumped the 30,000W system & got some great shots – we argued with sound control for 40 minutes while the crew got the last shots out >>> check out our own unreleased music vid!!!
